Dear Valued Supporter,
Thank you very much for your continued support of East Side House Settlement. As you may have seen, The New York International Auto Show has been postponed. This means East Side House’s Gala Preview is no longer taking place as originally planned on April 9th.
We are working very quickly behind the scenes to confirm details for a revamped event that you won’t want to miss! You can expect communication from us as details are confirmed. We thank you for your patience!
As you know, East Side House relies on the funds raised at the Gala Preview to provide critical services to some of the New York City’s most vulnerable families. The majority of our services are provided in the Bronx, which has the highest rate of chronic illnesses and, as such, puts our families at highest risk of the impact of public health emergencies.
Our services are needed now more than ever as we all face the challenges of the coronavirus. These services include:
- Providing in-home services to senior citizens who can no longer convene at our local senior centers. This includes provision of daily meals.
- Providing a safe and clean space for 231 children in our early childhood centers as their parents, many of whom are hourly workers, negotiate changes to their work schedule.
- Providing educational and social services for individuals and families most at risk of contracting or impacted by coronavirus.
- Assisting the uninsured and under-insured in gaining access to the health care system and treatment centers.
The health, safety and security of the East Side House family is my top priority. I remain grateful to our Board, Staff and you – our supporters – for all you do. You will continue to hear from us with additional details soon.
Sincerely,
Daniel Diaz, Executive Director
East Side House Settlement

The Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association
The Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) has brought its dedication to community service to East Side House Settlement for two decades by opening the doors of the New York International Auto Show for the annual Gala Preview benefit. The GNYADA partnership with East Side House is one of several philanthropic initiatives that the Association embraces throughout the year, which demonstrates the collective commitment to the community of auto dealers across our area. Franchise new car dealers have a long history of making a positive difference in the communities in which they live and work.

The New York International Auto Show
The New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) is North America’s first and largest-attended auto show. It showcases the latest technological advances and design innovation taking place in the automobile industry. More than one million people attend the show each year, generating over $300 million in economic benefit to the New York City area. As a result, the Show has received many awards from the communications, marketing and event planning industries in recognition of its outstanding work in producing a truly world class event.
